National Public Lands Day Celebration

Chantry Flat, Angeles National Forest

7 am - 1 pm (work from 8 am - 12 pm with lunch to follow)

The National Forest Foundation invites you to celebrate National Public Lands Day at Chantry Flat Picnic Area on September 28th! In partnership with the Angeles National Forest, we will have a variety of volunteer projects for all ages and skill levels. Everyone from experienced volunteers to first-timers are welcome to attend and celebrate our National Forests as a community. Volunteer activities will include picnic area improvements, vegetation/debris clean-up, and trail maintenance.

Lunch, free stewardship t-shirts and raffle prizes will be provided by REI!

Coffee and snacks will be provided by Starbucks!

Parking at Chantry Flat:

There will be limited parking available at Chantry Flat. Please consider carpooling to ensure parking is available for volunteers and visitors.

Transportation Options to Chantry

Shuttle to Chantry Flat:

Thanks to our partnership with the City of Arcadia, REI, and Nature For All, we will be offering a shuttle service from REI’s Arcadia store (214 N Santa Anita Ave) to Chantry Flat. The shuttle will leave promptly at 7 AM. Please consider using this free public transportation option, easily accessible from the Metro Gold Line, instead of driving!

If you plan on taking the shuttle, limited parking will be available at the REI, so please carpool or take the Gold Line.
