Challenge Mastication, Plumas National Forest, California

The National Forest Foundation (NFF) is working in partnership with the Plumas National Forest (PNF) in northern California to implement forest vegetation treatments on the Feather River Ranger District in Yuba County.

In identified units totaling about 694 acres, mastication of live or dead brush and some conifer and hardwood trees 9.9 inches DBH and less will be treated according to the specifications described in the Request for Proposals. This is a maintenance treatment; most units advertised with this Request for Proposals have been logged or masticated within the last 5 years or less.
