Graveyard Project, Tahoe National Forest, California

June 3, 2024

The Graveyard Project is a fuel reduction and commercial thinning project designed to reduce wildfire risk by thinning over-stocked forests around the rural communities along the North Yuba River corridor, improve forest health and resilience, and generate enhanced stream flow. The Contractor will complete 2,032 acres of thinning and removal of merchantable conifers in accordance with relevant specifications and up to 15.39 miles of road maintenance.

NFF and USFS will host a project tour on May 13, 2024 to help interested contractors better understand the project and field any questions. Plan to meet at the Yuba River Ranger District office (15924 CA-49, Camptonville, CA 95922) at 10:00 am.
