New Mexico’s forested landscapes require active management to reduce wildfire risk and maintain forest health. The Enchanted Circle Resilience Program helps private landowners actively manage their forest to improve health and wildfire resilience. You can help reduce the risk to your forest land and community by taking steps now to reduce the fuel loading on your property.
Fire does not stop at property lines, the more neighbors that join in actively managing their forest properties, the better position your local community will be the next time a wildfire occurs. We want to help make forest management accessible to all and will help you through the entire process – from connecting you with a local professional forester for a free assessment of the health of your forested property, to securing financial incentives to help with the cost of treatments.
We are currently looking to work with forest landowners in the Valle Escondido area who have 10 or more forested acres! See below for how to take part. Even if you are outside our current target area please still fill out our survey as we may be working in your area in the future.
