Umpqua National Forest

On the Umpqua National Forest, we are involved in every step of the reforestation process – from collecting cones, to growing seedlings, to planting and monitoring saplings. The NFF’s new approach to reforestation looks at the whole model of post-fire restoration, not just the moment a tree gets put into the ground.

“This week we learned a lot, I didn’t realize so much effort had to go into keeping trails maintained. It was really fun to actually go out there and get hands on. I camped for the first time this week which was also really fun. It was also eye opening to see all the effort that is needed."

Earth Camp Participant

"I give to the National Forest Foundation because I know we have an urgent need to heal our scorched land. Not just for beautification of our landscape but because restoration will help with land erosion, climate change, and our balance with nature."

Donor Dasha Z.

"World-class organizations are fully committed to learning and self-criticism. The "expert model" is being replaced by "communities of practice" and through knowledge sharing. This format is an excellent venue for achieving these aims. Keep it up!"

Conservation Connect Participant

In 2015 Caudalie committed to our first US planting initiative with the NFF to plant 1 million trees across the nation. We’re proud of this environmental commitment as it’s at the heart of our DNA, and we feel honored to give back to the Earth a little bit of what it gives us everyday.
