When you support the National Forest Foundation (NFF), you join forces with dozens of communities, hundreds of local organizations, and thousands of individuals working to conserve and restore our National Forests and Grasslands. Your gift helps ensure a sustainable future for the many resources our National Forests and Grasslands provide to us all - fresh air and clean water, outdoor recreation experiences, diverse wildlife, and wild places to roam.
All donors ($25 and above) receive a subscription to Your National Forests magazine and our monthly e-newsletter tree-mail™.
The National Forest Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax deductible.
Ways to Give
Annual members represent the spirit of our public lands, which were created for and by American citizens. Members ensure we can continue the daily work of conserving these treasured public lands.
Become a Recurring Donor
You can help the NFF restore our National Forests and Grasslands by becoming a recurring donor. This flexible option lets you do more for the landscapes you love, while ensuring you never miss out on an issue of Your National Forests magazine or tree-mail™.
Need to update your recurring donation information? Contact Katie Neher at 406.830.3355 or email@example.com.
Give the gift of vibrant National Forests to your friends and family with an NFF gift membership. Your gift recipient will receive an electronic or paper card announcing your gift and two issues of Your National Forests magazine - plus, we will plant trees based on the level of your gift.
While restoring burned and otherwise damaged forest landscapes, planting trees rebuilds healthy wildlife habitat, protects critical watersheds, enhances recreation experiences, and helps address global warming. For every dollar you donate, the NFF will plant trees on a National Forest.
If you would like a closer connection to our work and to provide more significant, unrestricted support, you can become a “Trailblazer.” Individuals who commit $10,000 or more per year comprise this special group who provide very generous support. You can remember a loved one or recognize a special occasion by making a contribution to the NFF. Give today and create a meaningful tribute in support of conserving and enhancing our National Forests.
Workplace Giving / Combined Federal Campaign
Many employers offer matching-gift programs, which can double your charitable gifts to the NFF. You can find out if your company has a matching gift program by contacting your human resources department.
The NFF participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) through Earth Share - an alliance of the nation’s top-performing environmental and conservation charities. The NFF has participated in the CFC since 2002 and appreciates the hundreds of federal government, postal service and U.S. military employees who have supported the NFF through payroll deduction.
Tax Advantaged Giving
Many donors find giving non-cash gifts allows them to support our mission generously while also offering valuable benefits for themselves, such as significant tax savings. Here is an overview of simple, beneficial ways you can support the National Forest Foundation’s (NFF) mission in a “taxwise” manner.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is an increasingly popular charitable giving vehicle administered by a third party that may allow you to take an immediate tax deduction and then spread out your charitable gifts as you wish.
