Edisa Berberkic

Edisa joined the NFF in 2026 as an Associate Officer of SCLF Giving, where she supports strategic fundraising efforts by conducting prospect research, developing compelling funding proposals, managing post-award activities, and cultivating meaningful relationships with funders to advance the organization’s mission. Growing up in Bosnia, surrounded by breathtaking mountains, forests, and waterways, Edisa developed a deep appreciation for nature, water, and the outdoors, an influence that continues to shape both her personal and professional values.

Before joining NFF, Edisa built a 15-year career across the government, research, and nonprofit sectors. Throughout her career, she has managed large, complex grant portfolios, led fundraising efforts, created robust grant pipelines, streamlined operational processes, and developed strategic partnerships that drive meaningful impact. Passionate about mission-driven work, Edisa is motivated by the opportunity to connect funding with programs that create positive change. She is dedicated to advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and improve the well-being of people, places, and the environment, including national forests.

Outside of work, Edisa enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, cooking, and being with family. She loves preparing dishes inspired by her Bosnian heritage while also exploring flavors and traditions from other cultures, particularly Mediterranean and Asian cuisines.
