Eric Keen
Ambassador Council ChairEric retired in December 2024 as Chairman and CEO of HDR, Inc., a position he held since 2017 after previously serving as President and Chief Operating Officer. He remains Vice Chair of the HDR, Inc. Board.
A civil engineer by training, Eric has spent his 45-year career helping develop and deliver some of the United States’ most notable transportation infrastructure projects. He also helped build HDR into a top global, employee-owned professional services firm.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Eric is active in many professional and civic organizations. In 2012, he led the creation of the HDR Foundation—an employee-funded, employee-administered charitable giving organization that benefits the communities where the firm’s employees live and work by supporting activities aligned with the company’s values and areas of expertise. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Creighton University and the HonorHealth Foundation.
Eric lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, and enjoys the outdoors.
