Harris “Terry” Hyman IV

Terry is the Managing Partner of Northwood Healthcare Partners, a healthcare private investment firm. For the past five years, he served as a Senior Executive Partner to Thomas H. Lee Partners. He is a seasoned advisor and private equity investor with over 35 years of experience working with management teams to build industry-leading companies. Prior to founding Northwood, Terry was a Partner at Flexpoint Ford, an industry focused private equity firm dedicated to the healthcare and financial services sectors. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston where he served as Co-Head of Healthcare Mergers and Acquisitions.

During his 19 years in investment banking, Terry was an advisor to many of the leading US and European healthcare companies and advised on over $20 billion of healthcare transactions.

He has served on the Board of Directors of numerous public and private healthcare companies including MedAssets, United BioSource Corporation, Smile Doctors, OMS 360, Intermedix, EyeSouth Partners and Summit Behavioral Health. Terry has also been active on several not-for-profit boards, including Trout Unlimited, where he currently serves as Chairman. He has served on the Trout Unlimited Board of Trustees for over 17 years. While working with Trout Unlimited, Terry served as Treasurer, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, and on the Executive, Compensation and Development Committees. He is also a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy, Maryland/DC Chapter.

Previously, he served on the board of MedStar Health, a $9 billion health system. He graduated, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
