Heidi Kim

Heidi Kim is a Managing Director & Partner at BCG X, Boston Consulting Group’s technology build and design unit. She specializes in designing and delivering large-scale transformation programs that improve customer experience, modernize operations, and enable AI-driven innovation — working with public sector and social impact entities as well as private sector clients, with a particular focus on government service delivery. Heidi is on the management teams for BCG’s Center for Digital Government and North America’s Public Sector practice. She is also part of the global BCG X Operating Committee, as head of the Product Chapter, leading 150 product managers globally. Her guiding philosophy centers on building with empathy and a startup mindset — whether optimizing government processes through AI or launching new business models — to create meaningful, measurable impact at speed.

Prior to BCG, Heidi was a product leader at a venture-backed AI startup and founded her own company. Her career started in the non-profit sector, working in global health and microfinance.

Heidi is enthusiastic about nature and the outdoors, whether swimming in the Pacific Ocean or skiing in the West. Heidi and her husband were married in Deschutes National Forest in Oregon and celebrated their honeymoon with a road trip through the National Parks and Forests. Heidi holds an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University, where she was a Freshman Outdoor Program leader, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
