John Pearson
Associate Individual Giving OfficerBorn in Savannah and raised in North Georgia, John developed an early appreciation for the forests and landscapes of Appalachia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho. After college, John spent several years in the Lake Tahoe Basin, where living near public lands deepened his commitment to conservation and outdoor recreation. Now based in Asheville, North Carolina, he is proud to once again call the Southern Appalachians home.
As a member of the National Forest Foundation’s Individual Giving team, John builds meaningful relationships with supporters and helps turn their passion for the outdoors into lasting conservation impact. Outside of work, he can often be found mountain biking, traveling, snowboarding, or spending time with his two blue heelers.
