Ty Tyler
Intermountain Region DirectorTy joined the National Forest Foundation in early 2025 to serve as the Intermountain Region Director, overseeing an amazing team and growing portfolio of work across Idaho, Utah, Western Wyoming, and Nevada. Ty joined the team with more than 20 years of experience working in conservation and public land stewardship for a variety of nonprofit organizations across the country. For more than a decade, Ty was the National Stewardship Director at the Access Fund, where he lead and inspired the skyrocketing US rock climbing community toward a stewardship, volunteerism, and land manager partnership ethos. His other roles have included managing recreation and restoration projects around Seattle and acting as the Development & Philanthropy Director for a watershed based organization in Montana.
Since 2017, Ty has been “living the dream” and working remotely from his van as he’s travelled across the country. When not activating public land stewardship, Ty is probably out rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, or sitting behind the steering wheel.
