Our beautiful forested landscapes require active management to reduce wildfire risk and maintain forest health. The Resilient Flathead Forests Program is a community-led initiative to help private landowners actively manage their forests for improved health and wildfire resilience. By acting now to reduce fuel loading on your property, you can help reduce the risk to your investment and your community.
The more neighbors that join us in actively managing their forested properties, the better off our community will be when the next wildfire inevitably rolls through. Our team will guide you through every step of the forest management process- from connecting you with a local professional forester for a FREE assessment of the health of your forested property, to securing financial incentives to handle the cost of treatments.

RFFP is partnering with local organizations and the National Forest Foundation (NFF), a non-profit partner of the US Forest Service. Our goal is to connect the fire-resilience work being done by the Forest Service with adjacent private lands to strategically reduce risk of damage from wildfires to the overall landscape. We do this by empowering landowners to mitigate wildfire risk and restore forest health through fuels reduction (thinning) projects.
