Raspberry Gulch Fuels Reduction Private Lands adjacent to San Isabel National Forest, Colorado
In collaboration with the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies (BCR), the NFF is seeking a contractor to conduct service work, including forest thinning and mastication operations, across 81.1 acres of private lands adjacent to the San Isabel National Forest in Chaffee County, CO. The goal of this work is to reduce hazardous forest fuels that have accumulated due to a century of fire suppression and human development in fire-dependent ecosystems. Forest treatments will occur in mixed-conifer stands (Douglas fir, lodgepole pine, ponderosa) and ponderosa pine stands. Both tree harvest and mastication are expected to occur.
A mandatory pre-bid project tour will be held on November 3, 2026. To receive logistical details for the tour, contractors must RSVP to [email protected] by November 2, 2026. Those who RSVP will receive a georeferenced project area map to reference during the tour.
