Shinbone Fuel Reduction Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina
The NFF seeks a contractor to reduce fuel loading resulting from Hurricane Helene on approximately 870 acres in the Appalachian Ranger District. Reduce hazardous fuel loads by removing blown-over, broken, root sprung, and leaning trees (sawtimber and pulpwood) within the project boundary. Restore disturbed areas through erosion control treatments, water-barring, slashing and vegetation establishment. Haul roads used will be maintained during operations to ensure safe and sustainable access.
