Tecuya Ridge Shaded Fuel Break Los Padres National Forest, California
The purpose of the Tecuya Ridge Shaded Fuelbreak Project is to reduce forest fuels and obtain both horizontal and vertical fuel separation in forested stands within the treatment units using various techniques of fuel reduction, green tree thinning, hazard tree removal and yarding of fuels.
This work will include cutting, mastication, chipping, and removal of; standing and downed trees, dead and live brush, limbs and designated live conifers, existing slash and forest debris resulting from current and prior operations and/or events on approximately 1,620 acres.
This Request for Proposals will close and all proposals will be due on August 21, 2026 by 4:00 PM PT.
Pre-bid Site visit:
The NFF and Forest Service will host an optional site visit August 3, 2026 at 9:30am PT. Please meet at the Chuchupate Ranger Station (34580 Lockwood Valley Rd, Frazier Park, CA 93225). The group will travel together to the project site from there.
8/6/26: The acreage/task for the West and East units has been updated. Removed the Guideline of Operations since it was redundant shifting the Federal Flowdown to Appendix E.
