Kevin Murphy

Kevin Murphy is Vice President of Public Policy at Carbon Measures. Carbon Measures is a global coalition representing major businesses committed to establishing a more accurate carbon accounting framework and driving market-based solutions to reduce emissions at the lowest cost.

His previous positions while at Exxon Mobil Corporation included Director of Global Issues and Advocacy – Energy Transition, President of the ExxonMobil Foundation, Global Manager of Community Investments & Strategy, Global Manager of Public Policy, Public & Government Affairs Manager of ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing Company, and Manager of U.S. State Government Relations. Prior to joining the company in 2004, he held several positions in Washington, D.C., including his final position as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy & Environmental Technologies in the International Trade Administration.

He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from Indiana University. He was a Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund in 2008 and served on the board of directors and executive committee of the World Affairs Council of Dallas – Fort Worth from 2008-2011 and again from 2016-2021.
