Kevin Murphy is Vice President of Public Policy at Carbon Measures, a global coalition of businesses across industries committed to reducing carbon emissions by aligning market incentives with the actions needed to drive impact at scale.

His employment at ExxonMobil included roles as President of the ExxonMobil Foundation; Director of Policy & Advocacy at ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions; Head of Global Policy Issues & Advocacy; Public & Government Affairs Manager of Natural Gas & Power Marketing; and Manager of U.S. State Government Relations.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil, he held several positions in Washington, D.C., including staff positions in Congress, a presidential campaign and transition team, and Administration, including his final position as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy & Environmental Technologies in the International Trade Administration.

He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from Indiana University. He was a Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund in 2008 and served on the board of directors and executive committee of the World Affairs Council of Dallas – Fort Worth from 2008-2011 and again from 2016-2021. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Forest Foundation and the Teagle Foundation.

Kevin and his wife Sarah have two children and are based in Houston, Texas.
