We are pleased to announce our partnership with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to plant 10,000 trees on our National Forests. Since 1987, Brentwood Home has been handcrafting luxury mattresses, pillows and bedding — thoughtfully made with non-toxic materials and natural elements — right in our own Los Angeles factory. As designers, makers and artisans, we thrive by articulating the details that others ignore. Yet it is our “California ethos” that truly defines us; compelling us to craft beautiful sleep products that also promote healthy lifestyles and greater well-being. In line with this belief is our commitment to the health of our environment and support for our National Forests.

Our California Ethos

From our bedroom to our cities to the planet we call home, taking care of the spaces we inhabit is the foundation of our well-being. At Brentwood Home, much of the product development process is spent researching and sourcing materials ourselves, making sure they meet Golden State standards for environmental responsibility.

California has always been at the forefront of environmental regulation, implementing policies that are eventually followed by the rest of the country. We meet and exceed these standards by using a combination of organic, nontoxic, and natural materials with no chemical retardants, phthalates, ozone depleters, or heavy metals.

And it is this ethos which drives our support for our National Forests, which are in peril and need our help. For every mattress sold on our website, we make a donation to the National Forest Foundation to plant three trees. It’s part of our ambitious effort to help stem the impacts of climate change and help replant America’s forests, which play an integral role in the well-being of our planet and our families now and in the future.

National Forests provide many benefits, including:

Cleaner Air and Water

Our forests sequester carbon and help purify the air of pollutants. Forests across the country offset 10 to 20 percent of U.S. fossil fuel emissions each year. Reforesting National Forests helps ensure our forests will continue to sequester carbon and help mitigate the impacts of climate change.

A Better Future for Our Kids

Planting trees helps slow climate change, restores habitat for wildlife, and improves the recreational experience on the places we go to play.

Improved Health and Well-being

Getting out in nature can have numerous mental health benefits, including reduced stress. National Forests provide Americans with millions of acres to explore. They hold 150,000 miles hiking trails, more than 4,400 miles of rivers, and around 5,100 campgrounds..

We proudly support the NFF’s campaign to plant 50 million trees on our National Forests. Join our support of healthier lifestyles, including our home and global environment.

Note from the NFF: Working with corporate partners like Brentwood Home fuels our tree planting campaign and helps us spread the message of reforestation need on our National Forests. We are proud to partner with companies like Brentwood Home and strive to craft partnerships that align with our partners’ missions and environmental goals. Because of Brentwood Home’s ambitious efforts, 10,000 new trees were planted on our National Forests in 2018.
