8 million trees and counting
We need forests. We rely on our forests for providing abundant supplies of clean water. Our forests clean our air and fight climate change. They provide habitat for threatened and endangered wildlife. Without our forests, our world would be a vastly different place.
But just as we need forests, our forests need us. Natural disasters such as wildfire and insect and disease outbreaks have deforested millions of acres our forests. Currently more than 1 million acres are in need of reforestation. Simply put, our forests need your help.
With support from mindful individuals, small businesses, corporations and foundations, the NFF is making a difference. Working closely with the U.S. Forest Service and our supporters, the NFF has planted more than 8 million trees on our National Forests. Join us in our mission of restoring our forests!
